The 8 Washington project, which will bring housing, retail and open space to the Embarcadero area, will go to the SF Board of Supervisors later this month for approval. The project is located on Seawall Lot 351 and adjacent properties. The SF Planning Commission was scheduled to vote on the project approvals and EIR certification on Mar. 22, but that hearing was postponed and a new hearing date has not yet been set.

The SFBCTC has strongly supported the project, which has been developed and refined over six years with input from the community. The project's developers, San Francisco Waterfront Partners (SFWP), have reworked design plans to accomodate neighborhood concerns.
